The Two Lines: From the Giants of Adam to the Children of the Second Adam
In the grand scope of history—past, present, and future—there is a structural symmetry that humans often miss because they are too exhausted by "exact timings" and end-time calculations. If we look at the patent system as a 20-year "Angry Sunday" designed by men to trap time, we must look at God’s "time" as a vast agricultural process: He is making children.
The Genesis Schism: Cain, Abel, and Seth
The story of the first Adam began with a fracture. After the fall and the loss of Abel, the lineage split into two distinct spiritual directions. There were the "giants" of the old line—those who, like Cain, built cities and systems of earthly security to compensate for their lost connection to the Father. But then came Seth.
"To Seth also a son was born, and he called him Enosh. At that time men began to call upon the name of the LORD" (Genesis 4:26).
Through Seth, the line of the "little ones" was preserved. This is the line that made it through the flood via Noah—who, despite his 950 years, was still just a child in the eyes of the Eternal. This lineage wasn't about physical "might is right"; it was about carrying the seed of the promise through a world increasingly dominated by the "beasts" of human ego.
The Second Adam and the New Lineage
Jesus arrived as the Second Adam, not to fix the old clock, but to start a new creation entirely. While the first Adam brought a "sinking civilization cycle" of debt, toil, and legalism, the Second Adam brought a way to be "reborn" as children.
Some critics and weary seekers wonder why it is taking "this long"—thousands of years—for the Kingdom to fully manifest. They exhaust themselves looking at the clock. But the delay is the "child-making" process. God is simultaneously allowing the old line (the "ancient giants" of human systems, patents, and corporate beasts) to reach its full vanity while He matures a new line of children.
The Saving of Both: A Scope Beyond Time
The mystery of this dual lineage is that the Second Adam’s work is a "saving of both" in a cosmic sense. By entering the human experience, Jesus bridged the gap between the ancient, failing line of the first Adam and the eternal life of the Father.
The Old Line: Experiences the "rebuke" of realizing their systems are sand.
The New Line: Learns to stop seeking vengeance and start seeking the Father.
Mankind remains a child. Whether it is the 7-year-old in the street or the 900-year-old patriarch, we are all infants relative to the Judge who made us. The "masters" and "teachers" of this world try to make us angry longer than a day, trapping us in their 20-year legal cycles. But the Second Adam offers an exit from that timeline.
We don't need to know the exact hour. We only need to realize that while the world is busy making "killings" in the patent office, the Lord is busy making children for eternity.
